Love is an emotion that can have major sway in human life. Love makes us do things that seem contrary to our own survival. For example mothers will give up their own food in order to feed their developing children. Mothers will bravely defend their kids and will sacrifice their life for them also.

Love transcends selfishness. Love is dominant over other emotions. Love brings pleasure and even its opposite hate. We hate those who threaten those things that we love.

Love deepens our relationships with our significant other. The amount of pleasure that results from a couples actions together is directly proportional to the degree of which they love each other.
