The Lively Land - Episode 1 Communication (What's Going on in the Brain?)

Once upon a time there was a land called "Cephalia." This beautiful archipelago had a dense population on each island sitting comfortably submerged by the sea. The crowded land was strict and productive existing under a hierarchy of ranks, the Neura, Glia, and Epia. The people of this land had a unique way of communicating. The direct neighbors communicate by talking with each other. If an inhabitant of Cephalia wants to send a message to another citizen on a far away island they have two options. If the inhabitant is in no rush to relay its information their message would travel via the Oligo ferry, a boat which travels island to island delivering messages and goods. When the citizens are in a hurry they use electric messaging which is sent via the Myelin telegraph system. These institutions allow all the citizens of Cephalia to keep in contact with each other to coordinate and process information. (Continued)
