What Does Study Mean? How to Learn About Humans?

What do we mean when we say someone is studying a particular field? "To Study" is to unpack information about a particular field. As it is a pack, it includes info about in many aspects.

We can't claim that we have studied something unless we can comprehend the aspects of it. It means that if you are not able to describe the field you have studied to a six-year-old child in a way he/she understands, you still don't know it fully.

Study may include listening to a piece of music, dancing with friends, working with them and have the experience of how a particular population lives. Many things can't be described or shown in books or documentaries because we don't really get to touch it and experience it. It doesn't mean that we should ignore other people's experience in critically important aspects, like experiencing fully negative effects of drugs or alcohol.

If you really want to know something, you should see it from different views and have a multi-dimensional idea about a particular field. For example, drugs can gain us excessive pleasure by molecular processes, but they have fully destructive effects both in our relationship with others and the body health like various hepatic (liver) and brain disorders as side effects. Thus, meta-analysis is the key to study and learn about things around.
